Wedding Venue in East London
At Gonubie Manor we understand that every Wedding is different and we have proven to go out of our way to make sure that your Wedding day will be extra special.
Gonubie-Manor is situated just outside of East London, on the banks of the Gonubie River. We provide a beautiful Country setting and immaculate sculptured gardens. We have become East London’s premier Wedding Venue.
OUR WEDDING RECEPTION VENUES
At Gonubie Manor you have the choice of two Venues. Our smaller hall seats up to 120 guests comfortably and the Big Venue with glass doors, seats up to 450 guests. Both these Venues are Air Conditioned. Both Venues have entrance lobbies and are decorated in white, but have extensive draping possibilities. Essentially, we have a blank canvass that we can use to create the ambience that you require.
YOUR CEREMONY
We have an outdoor area which we use for your Special occasion. It lies between the very large glass frontage to our 600 sqm Hall and a water feature on the right. Right in the middle is a beautiful lawn structure that accommodates up to 450 guests. You may want to enjoy your Ceremony in the open air or you may wish for us to erect a bedouin tent to give your guests some shelter. No request is too big or too small.
DECOR
At Gonubie-Manor we offer a variety of decor options. Draping, chair covers, a stage to elevate the bride and groom, chandeliers, table cloths, chair tie-backs, special chairs etc. To us Style and elegance rules the day.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
Your photographer is going to love our Venue! We have so many varied backdrops to create awesome Wedding pictures to suit every taste. Of course there is The Manor house, built in the 1800’s, which is very special and unique. The original Manor house was built to stand the test of time.
Around the pool there is more than a touch of the “Lost City”. The rock art setting provides a unique and interesting background.
We also have an old Ox Wagon on site which makes for a great backdrop. Our Alpine Cottages transport one to a fantasy place and of course the dam also makes for a tranquil background.
Your photographer will find plenty of inspiration to make the recording of your day spectacular.
CATERING
Our cuisine is a fusion of South African flavours with both modern and old fashion trends. We have a number of menu options available, for you to choose from.
We are happy to accommodate your specific requirements into your menu selection. We have catered for school groups, serving hot dogs as a snack to seven star corporate functions with five star meals. Nothing scares our experienced team. So, if it’s a 5 course meal you require or a more traditional dish we are happy to discuss your requirements.
ACCOMMODATION
If you have a number of out of town guests we offer a number of accommodation options. From our Semi self- catering Alpine Units, four and six sleeper units, some double rooms and our luxury Umlambo Suites there is a bed for all price ranges and comfort levels. All are immaculately clean.
